Political poster from the re-election campaign mounted by Lawrence L. Lenertz, District Judge for the First Judicial District (Goodhue, Dakota, Scott, LeSueur, Carver, Sibley and McLeod counties). In 1970, Lenertz was appointed district judge by Governor Harold Levander. Two years later Lenertz was elected without opposition to his first term. This item was collected by his court reporter, Oliver Wittenberg.
The poster is a thin cardboard with white sides. Printed in black and white on the front side is a head and shoulders image of Lenertz. Printed in black around his image is "Re-Elect Lawrence L. Lenertz/District Judge/-Experienced-Qualified-." Printed in black along the bottom edge of the piece is information about Lenertz's volunteer re-election committee. The backside is blank.
