Description First edition stamp of the first man on the moon with advertisement image. The advertisement image depicts an image of earth taken from orbit. In the foreground is a small image of Neil Armstrong on the surface of the moon. Below Armstrong in blue font is the caption, "...one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind." In the bottom left corner are signatures from Richard Nixon (President of the United States), and Winton M. Blount (Postmaster General). In the bottom right corner is one of the actual postage stamps showing and image of Neil Armstrong stepping off the Lunar Module. The caption on the postage stamp says "First man on the moon." There are two circular ink stamps to the left of the postage stamp, one reads, "Moon Landing Jul 20 1969 USA" the other says, "Washington Sept. 9 1969 DC." There is a small printed caption in the very bottom right corner which reads, "This stamp made from the die carried to and from the moon."
