|Description||Letter from Fred J. Keup of Belle Plaine to Pete Johnson of Belle Plaine. The letter is typed on letterhead from the Minnesota River League. Preprinted on the paper are the name's of the league's president, vice president, and publicity director, the names of the cities that participated in the league, and small illustration of a batter, and the text "Minnesota River League/Fred J. Keup, Secretary-Treasurer/Telephones 111-132/Belle Plaine, Minnesota." The letter is dated February 24, 1954. In it Keup notes that Johnson was headed to spring training with the St. Louis Cardinals. He thanks Johnson for his outstanding services as an infielder and wishes him luck in St. Louis. It is unsigned by Keup wrote the letter as the President of the Belle Plaine Baseball Association.|
