Weibeler and Jacob Schmitt." The booklet has off-white paper covers printed in black, white pages printed in black and tied thread binding. The case deals with Scott County's attempts to levy and collect taxes against William Weibeler, Jacob Schmitt and Samuel Bowler. The brief states that taxes were levied against William Weibeler in 1883 and, by May 1884, the county still had not received his payment. The county then tried to take possession of Weibeler's personal property as payment. Weibeler, a resident of the Borough of Belle Plaine, brought a legal injunction against the county to bar it from collecting taxes. The court found in favor of the county.
