Description Black and white albumen print of a bar scene in Belle Plaine. Seen are a group of men standing together next to the bar railing with two bartenders behind the counter. The bar has a tin ceiling, electric light fixtures and elaborate wallpaper. Behind the bar are bottles of alcohol, a calendar, a large mirror with a stuffed owl at its center and a cash register below the owl, numerous pictures and several pennants. One pennant advertises the Jordan Sulfur Springs and Sanitarium. Other pennants advertise Silver Pitcher Whiskey, the Jordan Brewery and Schmidt's Beer. A spittoon is seen on the floor in front of the men. The image is adhered to cardboard and writing on the backside identifies Cunard Fischbach and Otto "Puncher" Miller as the men behind the bar. The men standing together in front of the bar include August Mueller, Bruce Atwood and Frank Geis. No maker's marks.
