Description Black and white photograph of the World War I homecoming parade in Shakopee. The parade is seen on First Avenue. In the lead are Bertha Strunk as Miss Columbia and "Batch" Ring as Uncle Sam. They are followed by soldiers representing the Civil War and Spanish-American War as well as World War I nurse Rebecca Pond. Behind that formation are lines of World War I veterans in uniform. Spectators and cars line both sides of the streets. Flags are hanging from windows and light posts, and are suspended over the street. Visible businesses include H. H. Strunk & Sons and an ice cream parlor. The parade was held in October 1919. No maker's marks.
