Scope & Content Tape recording of radio interviews with Julius Coller, II of Shakopee in 1982. Coller was a monthly guest on KSMM-Shakopee (AM 1530) radio's program "This, That and The Other" with host Michael Iverson. On Side 1 he discusses the locations of buildings and businesses in downtown Shakopee including some physical descriptions of buildings. Businesses include the Merchant's Hotel (Pelham Hotel), Shakopee City Hall with police station and fire barn, Jansen's Meat Market (Bigot's Meat Market), Spindler's Grocery, G.A.R. Hall (Fraternity Hall), Pepper's Harness Shop, Deutsch's Drug Store, the Argus newspaper office, the Masonic Hall, Casey's Garage, Jasper's Blacksmith Shop, Alley Cat Saloon, Dockendorff's Sewing Machine & Supply Co., and so on. On Side 2 he discusses the Knights of Columbus including the national founding of the organization in 1882, founding in Shakopee in 1913, charter members, early programs, social involvement, and so on.
